2004 Château Margaux, France, 750ml

Medium to deep ruby-red color. The aromas are of lifted violets over red-fruit & clean vanilla oak. The palate is beautifully balanced with violets & redcurrants combining seamlessly with cedar & vanilla from well-handled oak. The wine is not highly concentrated & although it lasts well the finish could perhaps be longer. Alcohol is balanced & the finish is smooth-textured & harmonious.
